African Academy of Sciences (AAS) - Grand Challenges

Grand Challenges Africa (GC Africa) is a programme under the African Academy of Sciences ‘Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa’. Its vision is to support the creation of extraordinary innovations that address health and development challenges in Africa by awarding seed and scale-up grants to the most impressive solutions developed on the continent.

TransLieu was tasked to prepare a pitch for a creative multimedia package that would not only help to promote the third Grand Challenges Annual Meeting, but also show how this initiative brings change and impacts the work of African scientists. We selected 6 GC Africa grantees whose individual stories on local innovation and science would be featured through video and photo using the human-interest storytelling approach.
