The Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) program
The Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) program, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is about better identifying and understanding the causes of death in children under 5 years old in areas of Sub-Sahara Africa and South Asia. This identification and understanding can, and will, help countries, public health programs, and local and global child health advocates and policymakers in their efforts to prevent childhood deaths and illness.
We produced a set of two videos as a summary for their annual network meeting. The first video highlights the importance of the CHAMPS network, while the second video is a call to action to invest more in child health.
