Kenya Red Cross - Training Manuals and Facilitator's Guides

Adolescents and young people and People living with HIV experience high levels of violence – psychological violence through verbal abuse by the people around them, physical abuse, especially within the family setting, and sexual assault or the threat of sexual assault. The perpetrators of such incidences are commonly family or community members. Lack of recognition of human rights not only causes unnecessary personal suffering and los of dignity for people living with HIV or AIDS but it also contributes directly to the spread of the epidemic since it hinders the response.

Kenya Red Cross developed the ‘Know Your Rights’ training manuals and facilitation guides to empower Adolescents and young people and People living with HIV to know their legal rights and to take action when their rights are violated as well as teach those living with HIV about laws, their rights and how to enforce them.

Trans.Lieu was engaged to copy-edit the above said manuals and facilitation guides, direct the conceptualization, development and creation of the artwork and drawings, and carry out overall graphic design and layout services.
