Vitabu Vyetu
On 8 September, the world celebrates “International Literacy Day”. Apart from reading and writing, literacy has a complete different meaning. It enhances ones lifestyle and let people acknowledge a world where they can survive with respect and enthusiasm.
The theme of this year’s International Literacy Day is “Literacy and Sustainable Societies”. While visiting Kawangware Primary School, we produced a set of photographs for Vitabu Vyetu - which is Swahili for ‘Our books’ - a youth organization that advocates for giving every child good quality education in Kenya.
