Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) - CAP TB project

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top 10 causes of death in children. Yet, globally, national TB programs are notified of only 40% of pediatric TB cases, leaving a large proportion undiagnosed or unreported. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) pioneered a project to save children’s lives by introducing and using innovative diagnostics, drugs, and models of care for pediatric TB. The Unitaid-funded known as Catalyzing Pediatric TB (CaP TB) project ran from Oct 2017 to Sept 2021 in nine sub-Saharan African countries (Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe) and India.

Trans.Lieu was commisioned to produce a set of two video snippets highlighting the key successes of the pilot project, focusing on the challenges of diagnosing children with TB and another video on the TB preventing therapy.
