Global Partnership for Education (GPE) - World Bank Group - 2021 Global Education Summit

The Global Education Summit: Financing GPE 2021-2025, co-hosted by the United Kingdom and Kenya, was a key moment for the global community to come together and support quality education for all children.

At the summit, which took place on 28 and 29 July 2021 in London, world leaders made 5-year pledges to support GPE's work and help transform education systems in up to 90 countries and territories.

Ahead of the Global Education Summit, Trans.Lieu was asked to produce a set of Kenyan success stories with a focus on Kenyans who hold education close to their heart. The featured personalities include Olympic marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge, Dr. Kakenya Ntaiya who leverages on education to empower girls, end harmful cultural practices and transform communities in rural Kenya, and the many Kenyan teachers who are among the unsung heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
