UNICEF LIVE EVENT - Connected Schools
UNICEF Kenya is engaging with Government, private sector partners and donors to support the connection of primary schools to the Internet. This will help improve learning outcomes and increase opportunities for up to 8.5 million learners in Kenya. As of 2021, 110 schools were connected reaching an estimated 42,000 learners connecting young people to information, opportunities and choices. This is expanding access to quality education and digital learning.
Trans.Lieu was commissioned to live-stream an internal high-level meeting ‘Last Mile school connectivity for 8.5 million learners and teachers’ with current and potential funders. We streamed 2 locations concurrently, one from a hotel meeting room in Nairobi to the online audience and the second from a ‘connected school’ in Kitengela so that the audience would engage with the students and teacher.
