Attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals is essential for the future health and prosperity of societies. This will require human capital and therefore depends on children and adolescents reaching their full potential. The foundations of health, education, productivity and social and emotional well-being are built from pre-conception and have an impact throughout the life-course, as the gains made in first two decades of a child’s life are transmitted to the next generation.

The WHO Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health, and Ageing asked Trans.Lieu to design the “Investing in our future” document.
