Recent disease outbreaks, such as Ebola in DRC and West Africa, demonstrated the vulnerability of health systems to public health emergencies and the need for the development of resilient health systems.
Countries need to be able to effectively respond to a public health emergency while also maintaining high quality core health services. In order to support them to be prepared, simulation exercise materials have been developed, including how to handle the media.
Trans.Lieu was asked to design a training package to help WHO country offices in the African Region to be better prepared in the event of a major outbreak or incident. All training materials (including videos, handouts etc) were put on a USB flash disk with corresponding case.
